Creating and Editing Content
Adding content to the website is rather straightforward. We have installed an Admin Menu for authenticated users, so the easiest way to begin is to select Create Content from the Content Management menu, which should look like the picture to the right. In the Create Content menu there will be a list of all the types of content that can be created. For this example, we'll create a Page.
After selecting the menu option for creating a Page, the website should take you to a form that looks similar to this picture below. The two basic things that are needed for creating a page are a title, and a body. The title is pretty self-explanatory; it will be the title displayed at the top of the page you are creating.
The body section of this form will look similar to creating a Word document, and it will work in the same way. The toolbar above the editor can be used to change the look of the content you will be adding here.
Once you have finished creating the content, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button. Congratulations, you have just published a web page!
Now that you've created some content, you may want to go back and edit it. If you have the correct permissions, when you visit the page you will see buttons similar to the ones to the right. The View button is currently highlighted, but if you click on the Edit button, it will take you to a form that looks just like the one you used to create the page. Only this time, your content is already there. Make any changes to the page, and then scroll to the bottom and click the Save button. Your changes should now show on the live version of the page!
